Shallot 'Simiane' produces banana shallots with pinkish skin and rose-coloured internal rings. This onion/shallot hybrid has inherited the best qualities of both parents. The banana shape and thin skins makes them easier to peel and slice whilst the flesh is sweeter, milder and more tender than any onion. Altogether superior and more versatile than ordinary onions and perfect for gourmet dishes such as risotto. Good resistance to bolting. Height: 35cm (14"). Spread: 15cm (6").
